Profile
The student with the diploma “Equipment, Plant and Industrial and Technical Services” possesses the suitable knowledge to manage, organise, and carry out actions of installation and general maintenance of diagnosis, repair and testing of small systems, technical equipment including maritime. His technical-professional skills refer to the chains of general productive fields (electronics, electrotechnics, and others and they are developed specifically for the local area.
He is able to:
- Check the conformity of equipment and plant, to technical specifications, to users’ safety norms and to environmental protection, during their life cycle
- Observe the principles of ergonomics, hygiene and safety which precede working on plant
- Organise and intervene in activities for the elimination of waste produced by machinery and for the elimination of devices
- Use the multidisciplinary knowledge of the technological, economic and managing fields in working processes and in services involved
- Manage warehouse stock and supply orders
- Find and interpret technical documentation
- Assist users and supply them with information useful for the correct use and functioning of devices
- Act in his field of intervention, respecting specific norms and taking on personal responsibility
- Point out malfunctioning not directly linked to his technical competences
- Operate in the management of services, evaluating costs and also the economy of interventions
At the end of the 5-year-course, the graduated student in “Equipment, Plant and Industrial and Technical Services” achieves his learning results in terms of skills as follows:
- Understand, interpret and analyse the schemes of equipment, plant and industrial and technical services
- Use instruments and specific technologies in accordance with safety norms
- Use safety norms and safety documentation to guarantee the correct working of equipment, plant and technical systems, taking care of maintenance in an industrial and civil context
- Find the components that make up the system and different materials used, in order to intervene in the setting-up and in the substitution of the components and the parts in accordance with the established procedures
- Correctly use instruments of measurement, checking and diagnosis and carry out the fine-tuning of equipment and industrial and civil plant
- Completely guarantee and certify the equipment, industrial and civil plant, collaborating in the phases of installation, testing and supplying the relative technical services
- Act in the quality system, find technical and technological resources to supply efficient services
